I bought the ATACS-FG variant from a non-official retailer a little while ago, and it's pretty damn durable. It's made from the classic Cordura replica that these guys use, so it won't fall apart on you. It also has Velcro compartments in the cummerbunds which you can put armour plates into.
This plate carrier has genuinely outclassed even my JPC 2.0 that I bought a while ago in terms of my favourite plate carriers in my collection. It also helps that this is basically an LBT 6094 replica. Its only differences are the flat velcro panel which would have MOLLE strips on the real thing, and a triple double-stack mag placard, while the real deal has a MOLLE panel. Honestly not a major problem, at least not for me.
However, my only complaint is that the shoulder straps at the front plate carrier part are almost perpendicular, and rub hard against my neck, causing chafing. It would be perfect if this was fixed. For now, a temporary fix is to use those forearm sun protection sleeve things to cover the scratchy 1000D shoulder straps.
Other than that, genuinely zero issues.
